The Opportunity Zones program was enacted as part of the 2017 federal Tax Cuts and Jobs Act and is designed to drive long-term capital investments into low-income rural and urban communities.
The Affordable Housing Trust Fund Program (AHTF) is to provide municipalities, for-profit and non-profit developers with financial assistance to advance the development of low and moderate income affordable housing across the State and to maintain those units as affordable for a minimum of 20 years. Funds have also been set aside for innovative projects and initiatives related to the development of affordable housing.
