The instructions below are for organizations that have never applied for a federal grant. To receive federal funding, you will need to fully complete the SAM.gov registration and Grants.gov registration.

Be sure to read each stage of the registration process!
*Note: All Awards allow you to bid on contracts and apply for grants. Look for the icon = All Awards registration.
Your entity name and address will be validated by SAM.gov. If SAM.gov cannot validate your entity, you must create a help ticket with the Federal Service Desk from the page. Once you receive your Unique Entity ID, you can continue the registration.
To be completed after SAM.gov is Active.

Required to participate in SBIR and STTR federal funding programs. Post-registration, you’ll receive an SBC Control ID (e.g., SBC_123456789) which must be included in the SBIR/STTR Information section of your grant application. (Keep it handy for a Leswee representative to hold for you)
*For Early Stage Energy Technology

Required registration to do business and apply for grants with NIH and some agency partners and allows you to prepare, submit, and track your applications. Learn More
The Application Submission System & Interface for Submission Tracking (ASSIST) system is used to prepare and submit applications electronically to NIH and other Public Health Service agencies.
You will log in with your SAM.gov/Login.gov credentials created in Step 1 above.
